About
Ross Minter wants every person that comes on these trips to have the best time possible. His vision is to take people away from the stresses of work and life, to experience a totally health-fuelled few days. With a dedicated personalised plan. Each client will be looked after and learn valuable lessons about health, training and wellbeing, with new skills to take home with them to help improve their lives.
This Escape covers a wide spectrum, but is based around getting ‘back to fitness’, adding more training to your life, changing mindsets with regards to the way you think about exercise and also having fun, building on mental strength as well as moving the body more. Eating better and getting a more healthy balance with body and mind are high priorities too.
This Escape is directed at people who are trying to get back to fitness after a long time out, after injury, or for those that have never really enjoyed exercise and shied away from it, but now want to add it to their lives for better health or a weight loss journey. These trips are filled with fun fitness, nutritional guidance and tips on how to improve each day with mental stimulation towards eating well and moving more. Habits that have formed over many years are not easy to break away from, but if the proper strategy is put in place, they can be overcome.
Time
On this retreat you will have plenty of time to relax, as your free time is your own on these trips. Some people want to hang with Ross and other retreat goers, some sunbathe by the pool or on the beach, others relax or work on their laptops at the accommodation. Whatever you choose to do, you will feel like you’ve earned that chill out time, with all the added exercise, games, fresh air and mindfulness challenges throughout the day.
Food
On this trip you will probably eat more food than usual, but eating the correct foods makes a big difference. You will get to appreciate some amazing food throughout the day. You will get tips on nutrition, how to eat and what to eat, which will help with energy levels, weight loss and a healthier mind and body. This knowledge is easily transferrable to fit in with life back at home.. People have given wonderful feedback, showing that they have changed the contents of their cupboards and fridges when they have returned home. People have gone home feeling proud of the changes they have made, leading to simple alterations to the contents of fridges and cupboards allowing new mindsets on exercise and food to continue to flourish . We have a top level chef at hand for the delicious and inspiring food and to cook any special requirements if needed.
Exercise
You will exercise throughout each day, whether this be walking, cycling, playing tennis, volleyball, golf, lifting weights, swimming or one of the many other structured activities planned. This helps you to hit your steps and calorie expulsion per day . These activities are designed to be fun, but to make everyone work and burn energy inside their zone. This said, everyone is different and will have different wants, needs and levels, so this all gets taken into consideration in every planned session and if people want to be pushed harder this can be done.
Everyone who has been on this escape has benefitted hugely and has come away with a stronger mindset towards health and fitness, and they are now able to incorporate better choices in their diets and exercise routines back home.
So, take this opportunity to get yourself back to fitness and book onto one of the ‘Minter Warm weather breaks’ now. Ross looks forward to chatting with you.

I know Ross through my partner who also started his fitness journey through these breaks.
I have attended two previous camps, one training and wellbeing and one back to fitness escape, also I am due to go on my next camp in March (excited).
The first camp was a ladies-only retreat. we stayed in a villa with a pool where I had my own double bedroom with healthy nutritional meals cooked daily as well as eating out and trying new foods that fuel the mind and body.
This was an eye-opener for me and definitely one of my favourite parts of the training camp as I felt healthy fuller for longer and less tired and learnt a lot about food and nutrition.
The hardest part about the training for me was the running as I had never tried this method of exercise before and my fitness level was not great, however, I came to love how running made me feel, a real accomplishment.
Ross implemented a wide range of activities and training sessions to suit all types so you will never be bored. The training sessions were hard but so worth it as Ross will push you and encourage you to try things you never thought you were capable of.
During the second break, we stayed in a fantastic 4* hotel. I did this with my husband and 3 other men were on the trip. I was apprehensive at first but Ross made it work really well and I had another amazing trip
I felt well looked after and encouraged throughout and Ross also helped me believe in my capabilities and to try everything I really surprised myself.
Ross ensured that everybody’s needs were met and that they were comfortable throughout the stay. Ross also makes sure that recovery rest and sleep are priorities so as well as hard training sessions there is a lot of relaxation time for those who wish to sunbathe round the pool or just have some down time. He also implemented meditation techniques in the evenings which really helped me to relax which is something I have struggled with.
It felt like my whole nervous system had been reset on returning home.
I would definitely recommend this hence why I’m on my third camp. I can ensure you will come back full of drive and energy and want to continue exercising once back in the UK.
It is an experience that will give you that push you need to kick-start your fitness journey for those struggling to get started or don’t know where to begin. You come back full of knowledge with a new lease on life raring to continue.
Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a retreat that not only offers professional guidance knowledge and a friend for life. Ross The Boss Minter is a legend

I was recommended to go on a ‘back to fitness escape’ by a friend.
I wanted to kick start my fitness again.
I had Sufficient rest & the good food helped, The food was very tasty & healthy, I was never bored.
I got enough relaxation. Ross Minter is Fun & energetic!
the best parts of the trip for me were the great scenery on the bike rides along the coastline & early morning ocean swims.
There was good variety in the exercise we did and I felt fitter and stronger on my return.
The hotel was Very clean and accommodating.
The hardest part of the trip was shutting off, as I still had to deal with work calls.
I would definitely do it again and would tell someone thinking about booking one up, to Embrace it & do what you’re told.

I have known Ross Minter for 14+ years and aware of his reputation as a good trainer with many years of knowledge and experience. He made me aware of the trips and I have been on four of them since he started.
I want to be healthy, sleep and eat well and generally get fit and lose some extras lbs/kgs, so these trips are ideal.
I have enjoyed every camp and really miss the full on training and just concentrating on bettering myself after returning home!
I consider Ross as one of my best friends and I enjoy his company and the training we do together.
On the different breaks I have been on, we have stayed in the Barceló hotel and also apartments. I personally prefer to stay in the Hotel. You pay a bit more, but it is more of a luxury to return to after training.
I really enjoy the variation of the training we have done, but would still personally like to do more in the boxing activities, because it is fun and pushes me to the next level.
Ross juggles the training really well with each person. I have been sharing breaks with a lot younger and fitter people, but we all get pushed to our own levels.
The lunch time food at the restaurant under the gym is very good.
The local restaurants we have tried have also been very good to.
My favorite parts of these trips are the Boxing, Gym workout, Spa, Running, Padel, Yoga, Mindfullness session (don’t mind the swimming or cycling but not my best activities)
I would love to go on every trip, but life gets in the way, but i definitely make sure I schedule in at least one trip a year..
I am constantly talking about the training trips to as many people who will listen to me.
A lot of people say they want to do go, but they never commit for whatever reason which drives me mad as I’d like them to experience these breaks.

I heard about the minter warm weather training breaks through my rehabilitation trainer David who knows Ross and actually came on the trip to help with rehab bits too.
I wanted to go as I was In a bit of a fitness rut and needed to get a boost and do something different.
the hotel facilities were Excellent. Great choice of food and room was very comfortable and the food was Excellent
On this Back to Fitness Escape, the training sessions were Better than expected although I actually felt I could have been pushed further.
My favourite part of the trip was meeting new like-minded people and trying out fitness ideas and activities that I hadn’t done before the hardest part of the camp was Diet and no beer! Although I really appreciated it.
The trip most definitely was better than I expected
The variety in the training was my real highlight. I had never been in a kayak before and had never boxed before And I definitely came back stronger and fitter for it
I Would definitely do it again
I would recommend this trip and say to someone to Definitely go as you will find it both inspiring and give you a new view of training alongside like-minded people.
I Really appreciated all the positive comments and thoughts of the other people on the trip as I felt incredibly nervous before doing the trip that I would be the only fat, unfit old man on the trip..was made to feel incredibly welcome. it was a superb experience.

I Wasn’t in a good space in my life and my friend recommended I look at going on a minter warm weather break.
I’m so pleased I did, as I haven’t felt good about myself for a long time now and these trips have really helped me become a better person and look at myself differently.
I’ve Been 3 times now. I’ve been on a training and wellbeing retreat, a train like a pro camp (where I was getting ready for a white-collar boxing match) and a corporate team building get away for some of my staff to. I really wanted to show them what I experienced and help make their lives better to. It worked.
To be honest as an overweight guy, I was worried about training 3 – 4 times a day, But Ross was very good with pushing me to my fitness level, so I could continue in all sessions and not burn out.
There is so much variety in the sessions and Ross makes sure there is enough rest in between to, which really helps.
This is my 3rd break. When I went on my 1st trip I was very nervous!. I didn’t think I would cope, as I was so overweight and unfit, but Ross has a great way of setting a programme for me which makes it enjoyable whilst being pushed at the same time.
So if anyone is reading this and is over weight and unfit don’t be put off, as this is one of the best things I have ever done.
Ross makes you feel very welcome, and just I nice fella. Not judgmental what so ever. Makes you feel very comfortable on the breaks the experience more than lived up to my expectations, though I must say I was worn out when I got back, but after a couple of days, I felt really good and missed exercising, so I started back with a routine with what Ross had taught me, with adding the motivation, training methods and food/eating habits to.
I Would 100% do it again and am planning a trip soon and I Would say, if you’re looking to go on one of these trips and you’re unsure due to weight and your fitness levels. Do not let it put you off, as I believe it would be the best thing you would ever do, to kick start you into enjoying exercise and living a healthier and better life.
Just 1 more thing I own a company, and I took some lads who work for me out on a corporate team building get away.
This trip really helped, especially 1 lad in particular with his mental health and fitness journey. He has now lost 3 stone within 3 months of being back and Is really feeling on top of the world thanks to Ross and his breaks 🙏
